Frequently Asked Questions

How do I read 1-3,5,8?
Commas separate selections; hyphens are ranges: 1-3 is pages 1, 2, 3, plus page 5 and page 8 — five pages. Descending ranges like 5-3 are also valid (pages 5, 4, 3). Numbering starts at 1, matching what your reader shows.
One file per page is too granular — can I group by chapter?
The tool outputs either one merged PDF or one file per page zipped. For chapter grouping (1-10, 11-20), run the split twice, each time merging one range into its own document.
Will splitting harm the original file?
No. Processing happens in browser memory; the original is neither modified nor uploaded, and outputs are brand-new PDFs — experimenting with different splits is safe.
